Howdy Partner

Hello & happy Thursday everyone! I didn't really have a plan for making this card because I was just playing around with my newest cartridge - "County Fair". I have wanted this cartridge since it first came out, but even on eBay, it was always really expensive. I ended up getting it for $29 in an eBay auction, which I thought was pretty good. I found some Jolee's embellishments that have been in my stash forever & the card just sort of came together. I'm actually quite happy with it. Our 3-year-old Goddaughter is coming over tonight so I think I'll give it to her. She's the only "lil buck-a-roo" in our lives anyway, lol.

So . . . here it is! . . . .

The base is Kraft cardstock, sized at 5 x 7". The background cloud paper is from a Debbie Mumm paper pack. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz ink in "Walnut Stain". The bird & the fence are from the "County Fair" cartridge & the sun is from "Simply Charmed". The rope, saddle, horseshoes & bandanna are from Jolee's. I used the Distressed Stripes Cuttlebug folder on the fence. All of the colored papers are from the color palette on the "Enjoy The Seasons" Imagine cartridge. The bird's face is from the Peachy Keen stamp set called Critter Faces Large. I used Prismacolor pencils to color his beak & to whiten his eyes. It's kind of hard to see but the bird is standing on a little piece of dirt paper, which I got from a John Deere paper pack. I used Stickles on the grass & the sun rays & Glossy Accents on the sun & the little feather thingy on the bird's head.

The sentiments & stars are from 3 different stamp sets by K Andrew Designs. . . .

This is a perfect example of how versatile these stamp sets are. The mix & match options are virtually endless! To purchase these stamp sets or any others please click on the link above or HERE. Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge - "Disney"

Hi my friends! Today is the Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge & the theme is "Disney". I made this card very quickly, as I ran out of time because the baby shower was today & I didn't get home till way late. Anyway, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out - even though I totally freak out when I have to make a project in a hurry! I hope you like it . . . .

The size of this card is 6" square, made with white Coredinations cardstock. The other layers are papers from my stash. I used a Martha Stewart punch on the light blue layer. The Pooh heads were punched with a Fiskars 1.5" circle punch & came from a Pooh paper by Sandylion. I outlined the edges with a black Sharpie pen. I used black glitter paper from my stash & a Fiskars scalloped circle punch to create the base layer for the sentiment. I inked the edges of the light blue paper with some Hero Arts black ink, which I also used to stamp the sentiment. I used a Fiskars corner rounder on all the corners.

The sentiment is from the K Andrew Designs stamp set called "Of Mice & Lil Men".

Isn't this the cutest set ever?!! It's absolutely perfect for our Disney theme! For my project, I'm featuring the "Owly Hoo Sentiments" stamp set. For more details or to make this set YOURS, please click on the preview!!

What does summer mean to me? For me this year, spring & summertime are all about baby showers! Both of my daughters-in-law were pregnant at the same time! My grandson was already born on St. Patrick's Day & my granddaughter is due on July 7th. So needless to say, I've been buried in baby shower projects for quite a while now! Plus, I was just asked to do the decor for another shower in July. Phew!!

If you follow my blog then you've seen some of my shower projects already. Well, my daughter-in-law, Vanessa's baby shower is this Saturday! I was feeling pretty overwhelmed trying to finish everything, so I just decided I would feature this project for the blog hop. After all, my summertime is all about baby showers so far! Anyway, here are the party favors I've been working on the last couple of days . . . .

Here are the details:

The candies are Hershey's "Nuggets", which already have a gold or silver foil wrapper on them. I covered them with paper from Heidi Grace. I cut the paper into 1 x 3" strips, put a little bit of adhesive on both ends & wrapped it around the candy. The ribbon is from from my stash & unmarked. I believe the little 4 x 6" cello bags are from Michael's. See above for the stamp details. I had to make 50 of these, which was a little time consuming but super simple!

***********

We'd also like to share TWO BRAND NEW stamp sets that are now available for pre-order with an expected ship date of May 25th!! If you want to be one of the FIRST to own these SUPER-CUTE sets, you'll definitely want to order TODAY (clicking on the previews will take you directly to the order page)!!. . . .

Sympathy Card

Hi there! I hope everyone is having a great week! I have been consumed with baby shower stuff all week. My daughter-in-law's baby shower is Saturday & I'm doing all the party favors & decorations. Ahhh! It's stressful but a good kind of stress. Besides, sleep is totally overrated right? Lol.

Anyway, here is a sympathy card I made for a very good family friend who just lost his mother last week . . . .

And the inside . . . .

All of the paper is from a kit I won for a challenge from Diana at DL. ART. The kit is by Monique Griffith Designs. The pearls are from my stash. The punch is from Martha Stewart & the ribbon is from Offray. The scalloped circle punch is from Fiskars. The faux stitching is done with a black Sakura pen. The edges are inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in "Black Soot".

The sentiments are from the K Andrew Designs stamp set called "Sympathetic Sayings".

To order this set or any other K Andrew Designs stamp sets click on the links above or HERE. There are so many beautiful sayings in this set! It makes me almost cry when I read them all. OK, enough sad stuff, lol. Happy thoughts!! So . . . . I took a quick break but now it's back to baby shower central!!

Thanks so much for visiting me today!

Many Thanks

Hi there! I hope everyone had a great weekend & is having a tolerable Monday, lol. I have alot to be thankful for these days, so I thought I would beef up my thank you card collection. Here are the 3 cards I did over the weekend....

Here are the details:

Size 4.25" square

Card bases are white Coredinations cardstock

All of the patterned & solid papers are from the Martha Stewart paper pad "Vintage Girl"

The background image stamps (butterfly, vines, fern & leaves) are from the "Stamp Around the Page" kit by Martha Stewart. This kit works just like a punch set, but with stamping the corners & edges instead of punching them.

The punches are also from Martha Stewart (I realize I sound like I'm obsessed with Martha Stewart, but this is actually the first time I've used any of her products all together like this)

The little pearl dots are from my Viva Pearl Pen in "Ice White"

I also used some Fiskars Paper Edgers in "Cloud" & "Scallop"

All of the sentiment stamps are from K Andrew Designs. The 2 sets I used are "Winter Wishes" and "Owly Hoo Sentiments".
