Just A Little More Christmas....

Hello friends! I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season! I haven't posted in a while because I was just too busy with getting ready for Christmas, as I'm sure many of you can relate. My Christmas was awesome & I wanted to share my most favorite gift, which my husband gave me....

Yes, it's the new teal Cricut Expression 2! Isn't she beautiful?! It's a Michaels exclusive & it comes with the "French Manor" cartridge. Of course it also comes with the 2 pre-loaded cartridges: "Cricut Alphabet" & "Cricut Essentials". Since I already have 3 Cricuts in my craft room, I have to do some rearranging before I hook it up. I'm in the middle of remodeling my craft room so I just have to wait to find the perfect spot for it, but I can't wait to try it out!

Anyway, I do have a card to share with you today. I made it before Christmas, but haven't had a chance to post it until now....

Thoughts & Prayers

Hi everyone. I just want to do a quick post to express my condolences to the victims & families in Newtown, CT. It's so hard to accept that one very ill person could cause so much heartbreak to so many. There's really nothing I can say to make it better, but I want to offer my prayers & love to those affected by this tragedy.

It's times like this when our faith in God can be challenged, but it's times like these when we need Him most. I wish for everyone to have faith & know that prayer does work & God can ease the suffering if you let Him into your heart. My love, prayers & thoughts go out to all the dear people suffering from heartbreak tonight & always. May God be with you....

Fabulous "Folk Art Festival"

***To check out my current giveaway, please click HERE ***

Greetings crafty friends! I hope everyone is surviving the holiday madness, lol. My biggest challenge around this holiday time is to stop buying stuff for myself & start focusing on others. I know it's really selfish, but is it still bad if I'm confessing it? I know - clearly I have issues, but who doesn't, right? I'm just sayin'....

Anyway, enough about me (at least for right now). I have a Christmas card to share with you today, which I'm very excited to say that I made with my new "Folk Art Festival" cartridge. So, after going to 3 different Michaels stores (it's a Michaels exclusive), I finally found one! And it was on sale for $34, so merry early Christmas to yours truly! Fun With New Stuff

Hello everybody out there in blog-land! I hope you are all surviving the madness that is December, lol. We had some outrageous storms over the weekend, which left its mark on our property with washed out roads, flooded vineyards, fallen trees, etc. I am very grateful that it's all fixable stuff & I know I'm so lucky compared to so many who had real life-changing damage from Superstorm Sandy. I don't even dare to compare, but being in California my whole life, this storm was definitely a big deal for us!

Moving on.... I do have this "Thank You" card to share with you today. I recently acquired some Anna Griffin & David Tutera items & have been having a lot of fun playing around with them....Here is one of the first cards I've made....

Below is the inside of the card, which is hard to read due to the glare from the gold embossing, but it says "You're The Best".....

Kick Off Your Shoes!

Hello friends! Happy belated Thanksgiving to you all! I hope it was yummy & wonderful! I'm sure you will all agree with me that we are truly so blessed in this beautiful country of ours. I'm so grateful to have so many relatives around & to be able to see the ones who don't live close by, during this festive time of year.

This is a quick post to share some signs I made for our guest house. We recently had one of our guest houses completely remodeled & we had guests in it this week for the first time. So, I made these 2 cute little signs to put up by each of the main entrances. I made them in a winter theme, which will give me an excuse to make new ones each season. Like I need an excuse to craft!.....

Save The Pitties

Hello & happy Halloween! I would first like to say that my prayers are with those of you who have been affected by hurricane Sandy. Unfortunately, every now & then nature reminds us just how powerful she is. Yikes!

Now I would like to give you a little insight into today's card. Besides crafting, my other obsession is dogs (Pit Bulls specifically, but I love all breeds). I love this breed & believe they are tragically mistreated, misunderstood & misrepresented by humans. I will spare you from my preaching today, because this is a crafting blog, but if you would like more info or have questions feel free to email me (contact info on left sidebar). However, I would like to share just one quote that pretty much says it all, in my opinion....

"In the 70s we blamed the German Shepherd.
In the 80s we blamed the Doberman.
In the 90s we blamed the Rottweiler.
And today we blame the Pit Bull.
When will we blame the humans?"
-Cesar Milan

Truthfully, I actually enjoy making them when I don't have to, lol. Anyway, here is today's card, which just happens to be Cricut-less (gasp!). Hello friends! I hope you are all having a spectacular week so far. For those of you who don't know, we have 18 acres of vineyard on our property. Yep, it's harvest time! It really is amazing how fast they get it done though! Anyway, I do actually have a card to share today, so I'll stop my rambling & get on with it :) ....

Window To My World

Hello everyone! Happy Thursday! I hope your week is going well. We are finally getting some cooler weather up here, which is so nice. I am so over the heat, lol. I do have a card for you today, but first I have to share these photos from last night's sunset! I know pictures don't do it justice but I just had to show you anyway....

Doesn't that almost look like the barn is about to be engulfed in flames?! Thank goodness it was just the sun & clouds, lol.

A Bittersweet Day

Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing well on this lovely Wednesday! Today's post is a little bittersweet for me because it is my last official post as a member of the Getting Cricky Design Team. As much as I have LOVED these last 5 months, I have decided to withdraw my name from consideration for the next DT term. This was my first design team experience & I have learned so much! I truly cherish the relationships I have developed with my DT sisters & I appreciate & admire each of them so very much. What a talented & special group of ladies!

Okay, before I get too emotional, let's move on to today's projects, lol. I am a featured DT member again today at Getting Cricky, along with the awesomely talented Lisa from A Mermaid's Crafts. If you haven't already, give yourself a real treat & check out her blog. She is truly one of the most brilliant crafters I've ever seen.

I have 2 projects to share with you - this card is new & the second card is a "flashback" from an earlier post....
